Bringing a TLW Design Company idea to life, this project was an awesome addition to an otherwise average poolscape. These amazing clients wanted more usable entertaining space. They wanted to be able to use their yard for a longer season, as well as create a vacation-like atmosphere at their Madison Home. The answer: a poolhouse built around an outdoor fireplace.
The design team knocked it out of the park. Crystal was able to create a space that enhanced the pool area, but could still be a stand alone feature in the yard. The pool house (built by John Brown of Killingworth) features an outdoor pergola covered dining space and an interior sitting area. The screened in concept keeps out bugs. The homeowners can warm themselves by the outdoor fireplace from both inside the building and outside by the pool. Crystal came up with a see through outdoor fireplace concept that we brought to life and definitely steals the show in this landscape.
Aside from the outdoor fireplace, the landscape features a geometric step stone walkway that leads out the the space. Outdoor lighting is drilled and built right into the walkway to create an awe inspiring night scene. The rest of the space is illuminated with both garden lights and vertical accent lighting. The new space seamlessly blends with the existing landscape to create a space for these homeowners to enjoy.
