Formally owned by the Bush family, this historic country retreat was lacking in one area. The existing pool was outdated and only surrounded by grass. The goal of this design was to keep in character with the rest of the grounds so that was a huge consideration. The resulting project was a understated bluestone patio that fit into the surroundings, only visible from the bottom so that it still had that country pond quality. A natural boulder retaining wall and steps were erected, plantings designed
to cover the fencing to give a garden feel, and the pool coping was refreshed, made from stone extracted from the property. Truly a one of a kind project!
